We are a NASC accredited shoring and temporary propping contractor, with years of experience supplying and erecting support systems for a variety of different structures. From simple four leg towers to major commercial building supports, we have the requisite expertise and equipment to install temporary propping and shoring systems to the highest of standards. We work closely with expert engineers and our clients throughout, to ensure high levels of HSE & we deliver the very best solution for every project we work.
Temporary Propping Systems
Propping systems are regularly used in construction as a way of temporarily supporting a structure whilst work takes place. Prior to demolition or refurbishment, a thorough survey of the site is required to determine factors such as: how structural stability is achieved, what loads are being supported, what materials have been used and what state of repair it is currently in.
Propping is likely to be needed in any of the following scenarios:
When the existing support of a structure is removed or replaced.
-
To provide temporary support until a new structure being built is capable of supporting itself.
-
To limit deflection which could cause damage.
-
To gain access and allow work to take place safely.
-
To provide support beneath a slab or floor.
Temporary Shoring Systems
Temporary shoring is a technique used to provide lateral support to walls, including both underground excavations and renovations to overground structures. We supply and install all types of shoring systems, utilising traditional tube and fit scaffolding, system scaffolding and specialist soldier supports.
As with all our specialist scaffolding services, we can offer bespoke shoring packages for projects of all sizes – from a retaining wall in a garden to a listed building.
